After a flourishing musical theatre career in London, Poppy and her husband Steve decided to take the leap and re-train for a career surrounded by dogs.
Their first business opened in 2006 and through sheer hard work and passion the pair eventually could invest and build the largest Specialist Canine Centre in the North of England at the family farm, Lancashire.
Poppy Maney ICMG re-trained to be only 1 of 40 in the UK Internationally Certified Master Groomers and decided to set up one of the best Canine Grooming Schools in the UK. It is now a City and Guilds training centre which means it can offer learners the chance to gain their Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. Canine Groom School also become 1 of 5 centres in the UK to be able to offer the training for the ICMG qualification. This is an internationally recognized course opening the rest of the world for training. So far Poppy has had students from New Zealand, Dubai, Turkey, Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Malta, Iceland and students from throughout the UK coming to train with Poppy and the team.
Poppy has formed associations with Myerscough college and works alongside them to offer their dog grooming courses at our centre.
All this has been created and built whilst having 4 children also !!

Steve has been opening and building canine businesses for over 15 years, he qualified as a Canine Hydrotherapist in 2012, since then he has personally rehabilitated over one thousand dogs from all over the North West. Steve was also a fully trained dog groomer for 5 years and runs the business development workshops for the Hydro and Groom School students
